The Employer Services team can help employers to recruit young people.  We can help you make the most of the opportunity you have to develop the skills and talents of your new employees.

Who we are

Connexions has merged with Luton Borough Council's Youth Service to form a new Integrated Youth Support Service (IYSS).

IYSS is a free service which offers information, impartial advice, guidance and support to all young people aged 13-19 (and older for some young people with learning difficulties or disabilities).

What we do

Every young person aged 13 - 19 will have access to a Personal Advisor regardless of their circumstances. For some Young People they may only need careers advice, for others it may involve more in depth support. The Personal Advisor will offer practical support and advice with important life choices such as education, training and employment. In addition Personal Advisors will help Young People with decisions about their personal development and also with issues like bullying, family and relationships, sexual health, racism and money.

Connexions/IYSS is dedicated to:

  • Provide a universal service to all 13 - 19 year olds which includes careers guidance.
  • Serve as the key link between the worlds of education and work.
  • Promote opportunities to young job seekers.
